Nursing and Medical Museum

 How about a bus trip to the Nursing and Medical Museum in Little Bay, Sydney?

It occupies a ward that was once part of the Prince Henry Hospital at Little Bay. It has a rich history – built in the 1800’s at some away from the city, to treat patients with infectious diseases including smallpox, tuberculosis, bubonic plague and leprosy.

Give them a buzz and you can arrange to be met by a retired nurse from the hospital who will explain the various exhibits and the hospital’s history. There’s also a Nurses War Memorial Chapel dedicated to the nurses of WWI and WWII.
